My configuration is as follows:
512 mb ram (3 years warranty), 160 gb hard drive (sea gate) (3 years warranty) with intel dual core processor 2.8 Ghz, 945 GLL, sony FDD, 17 inch crt color monitor(samsung), ATX cabinet with free chair, table, webcam, and HP printer.
All with 1 year onsite warranty.

The shopkeeper is saying the cost to be 30,000 without any software installed.

Please tell me whether is it worthy to give 30,000 for this configuration.

I am a BCA student with less knowledge about the hardware.

I am looking to do some online parttime jobs hence i need internet connection.

So suggest me a better configuration and whether is it worthy to give 30,000 for this system.

I don't know about the cost of computers in your money but the guts of the computer are fine. BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

There are NO PART TIME ON LINE JOBS, THERE ARE NO ONLINE FULL TIME JOBS> THEY ALL WANT TO SEPARATE YOU FROM YOUR MONEY IN SOME FORM

Some are multi level marketing, illegal in most places.
Referrals (recruiting for multilevel) (illegal in most places)

or they want a fee to get you started...you lose your money.

But if you don't beleive me, go ahead, but remember you were warned

I dont know what country you are in so I dont know if that is a good deal.
I am assuming you re in India. 30,000 rupees - $682.00US.
That isnt a great price. You are using a "shopkeeper". Do you have any large electronic stores? Large stores can offer you better deals. Also can you purchase from www.dell.com? See what kind of prices they have. You really need more RAM. The hard drive is kind of small also.
Online jobs: Most of the online jobs I have seen invoilve recruiting other people to pay for items that allow them to recruit other people. It's a Ponzi or a pyramid scheme. Nobody makes money off them except the top of the pyaramid
