When do teenagers normally start their periods?
I'm a young, almost teenage girl. I have no clue when I am going to start my periods! I'm scared about them and want to know more about periods and when they normally start.

It can happen at anytime. Just always make sure you are prepared for it. Carry maxi pads around in your backpack or purse. I started in school, when I was 11! For the first few months, it's all seems really gross and hard to get used to, but before you know it, it's just a normal thing you have to deal with in life. Good luck.

Thers no need to be scared just tell yourself that every woman in the world has it and instead of worrying about when it will come, enjoy the time u have without it.. trust me. Also if it makes you feel any better go to the shop and buy some sanetry towels then you kno u'll be ready for when they do come...
The normally start when your around 13/14 but can sometimes not come till your 16... but whateva happens it will come sooner or later so forget about it for the meantime.... hope this helps love .x

I had my first period when I was 12 years old. I was not expecting it at all, and to tell you the truth I was devistated- I thought it was the end of the world! But it's really not that horrible. You may get some cramps, which can usually be taken care of with a couple of Aleve. Wearing tampons also makes everything a lot easier- you can't feel them at all. Pads are uncomfortable, can feel nasty and smell bad after a while. It's nothing to be scared about, it's just a very natural part of life. But do enjoy life without them while you can!

There is no way of telling when you will start. It'll just happen one day.
Don't be scared - remember that the experience is shared by 50% of the population, every month for around 35-40 years of your life!!

I didn't get my first period until I was 14.
Then I didn't get another one for like a whole year.
But it has been steady since then!
It really is not that bad!
