I'm assuming that "off commentment" is actually
"of commitment".....

What do you mean by that? Being asked out is only a commitment for a date. IF you're afraid to say yet to a date then you're not ready to date.

If "ask out" means be boyfriend and girlfriend, then you're not ready for that. Don't sweat it. It's better to keep those relationships on the back burner for now anyway. Why are you worried about it? Unless you're over 21, there is no need for a commitment right now anyway. Take it from an old married lady, men are sometimes more trouble than they are worth! :) Enjoy having fun with the girls and doing what you want. Plenty of time for guys later on!

It's not weird at all. You just don't want to tie yourself to one boy. If you're still in high school, that's probably the way to go anyway. My daughter didn't have a boyfriend until she was almost 19. She just felt that guys in high school didn't really know what they were doing when it came to relationships at that age. She didn't want to get caught up in all the "drama". She's in college now and has TWO boyfriends who both know they aren't the ONLY ones, and accept it. One is in law school and the other is already an engineer. When guys get to that level of maturity, they aren't so possessive and insecure.

Nothing weird about not wanting to commit at your age, just date! Just have fun and play the field and who knows you may get lucky, but you decide for yourself. Not some dumb adolescent guy who only wants into your pants!
Good luck and happy hunting and have some fun. You are only young once!

I know how you feel. You're afraid that if you go out with someone, you'll just dump him cause you like someone else. But you shouldn't have feelings for like three different guys! How bout you ask someone out?

they probably are afraid, too. date the ones you really like and have fun. might be you meet the one you do want to commit to. there's no law says you can only date one at a time.

Are you really afraid of commitment, or do you choose to be this way to play the field?
