Bears and lions are hunters and you may trigger their predatory behavior by running. I guess I would try to look big in front of a lion to discourage it and just stand still in front of a bear, or back away slowly.
An elephant is to big to scare and it won't attack you, unless it feels threatened or angry. I think it is best to look small and back away slowly.

The bear? I would try and convince it I'm not a threat by walking away with my back to him (if you hear scrabbling feet coming towards you run). The reason I would do this is the standard human fear response (freeze and stare it in the eyes) is animal talk for, I'm in your territory and want to fight you, and I'm not backing down.
The elephant I would give a banana to and pet it on the trunk
And the lion, I would walk slowly backwards, if it looked like it was going to pounce I would stop and dive to the side when it did (can't change its trajectory in mid air) and then run without looking back putting as much stuff between it and me and climbing the nearest tree.
Or you could always take the American way out:
1. Shoot it
2. Shoot it despite the fact its 20 metres away and calmly eating with its back to you
3. Shoot it

With a bear (grizzly) you should roll yourself into a ball and lie absolutely still. The bear will push you around a bit but will become bored and move off. Do not move. Stay absolutely still for ten minutes and then peep out. If it has gone, move quickly back to your car.
These creatures can run at 35-40 mph and climb trees VERY quickly. They can do things more quickly than their lumbering appearance might suggest. You cannot escape them in the open.
So do the roll up thing and pray!

A bear...stand still, if it charges you bang it on the hooter (nose)
An elephant, look away and slowly wander off
A lion - Close your eyes then open them like a slower blink then look away slow blink again, then look away, wander off.
(This slow blink to all cats, means friendship, not a threat, as long as you look away after. If you have a cat, try it, they usually return the blink!
I just asked my husband this and he said, (he did actions!) he stand and jump up and down growling like a bear
The elephant, he said he;d stay still,as the elephant would probably just walk around him,
Lion, same as bear except he'd make even more noise.
Or perhaps, I'd just let the bear get me then wouldn't have to face the others!

I would slowly start backing away, trying to put distance between me and the animal, and trying to get objects in between me and it. I a girl so would likely get my hair spray out just in case . . . spraying nearly any animal in the eyes will usually cause it to run away. Anything that I had that might make a loud sound like a whistle I would keep handy as well. Never run from an animal as they take that as a sign to chase you.

I've no idea about the bear or the lion but I heard a wonderful story about the singer Roger Whitaker who while camping in the bush came out of his tent one night to find himself confronted by a huge bull elephant. He said he forgot everything he'd ever ben told about what he should do and just yelled, "Bugger off!" as loudly as he could, completely petrified. It worked, but apparently it shouldn't have done, and the elephant looked offended and ambled off, leaving Roger to hunt for clean underwear.

1. Bear - run away, stripping as you go, you can apparently distract the bear with the clothes.
2. Elephant - I think I'd try running.
3. Lion - whatever way you try this, you're dead meat.

1. I reckon i could have the bear.
2.I would jump on his back and ride him around, no bother.
3.I not sure about the lion.I don't think i could have the lion.I could
have a go but i think i would loose.I would do a double bicep pose and then leg it.
No F..K it i would have to go back and find out who is the hardest.
Then die.

With the lion you're supposed to shout and make as much noise as possible-unless it's ravenously hungry it is more likely to be startled than attack you (so I've read). With the bear you might get away with playing dead.
