I know that there's nothing in the Gospel of Christ that supports war or Man's inhumanity to Man. I also know that there's millions of 'Christians' in the U.S. who try to spin the Gospel to make it supportive of American interests, and somehow supportive of killing in order to protect those interests.
But it doesn't. And those who kill in the name of the Christian God bring shame to Christ.
When fundamentalism and nationalism become a hybrid, all bets are off the table. Religion isn't the problem. Perversion of religion is the problem.

Wars are started by the leaders of the countries in order to gain power or geography. Ideology and religion are red herrings these state leaders use to convince their countrymen to take arms.
That said, its the leaders that cause wars, not ideologies nor religion.

Muslims cause wars and they have since 668 A.D. They are not part of a religion, they are a brainwashed cult who follow a leader who abused women, and sodomized an 8 year old girl who also was 1 of his wives.
War is a response to crazy people.

the best question yet! you are obviously a well schooled and intelligent person! since the dawn of time, back to bibilical times, the main reasons for the killing we do is a combination of religious ideology, disputes over land and oil! and political differences! it is one group of people telling another that "WE ARE RIGHT, AND YOU ARE WRONG"! and if you do not see things our way, we will kill every one of you, and take your land! look at what the christians and muslims do to each other! it ahs been going on for centuries and, sadly, continue to be so! it is people like you that i like responding to! intelligent! dandidonna@yahoo.com

you would be able to desire to look deeper into the history of those wars, as an occasion why have been human beings wanting independence? faith is the two on the basis of the warfare or the gadget used to rally the individuals emotionally to help the warfare.
