I'll give you a start:

When there's no chance
For you to get
That bycicle
You have your mind set
To give up, but don't
There's nothing to it
All you've got to do is hope

When there is no chance
For you to go
On that trip to Canada or Mexico
You want to give up, but don't
All you've got to do is hope

Hope makes magic
Hope makes peace
Hope puts your soul at ease
Any treasure can be opened
With hope as its key

I don't know how many words that is but it's a start.

300 words is a lot.
Try thinking about what hope means to you and then think of a rhyme scheme.
Like....

"Hope is like dream when reality has failed
Hope can be the bridge that gaps the sick from well

Hope is the world's chicken soup
when a loved one is suddenly ill

etc.. etc...

I wrote that so if u wanna use it.. be my guest.

no ones going to actually write a 300 word poem FOR you.

and plus, a poem should represent your heart and soul..and nobody else's. im sure if you think deep inside, you'll figure something out.

good luck
