The roads should be designed i after studying the traffic inflow, proper cuts, ramps,signals and and Road signs. Ensure that proper foot paths are made and free from encroachments.
Educate the drivers and Pedestrians about road sign's and discipline.
Proper Enforcement of traffic Rules, in fact police personnel's involved in traffic management must undergo a training in Road Discipline and First Aid to ensure safety.

Before giving driving licence , awareness,education,trainning should be given based on traffic & road descipline
, written examination should be conducted only to give licence to the pass candidate.

Widening the roads will help.
Attitude and approach for which lots of education have to be done.
You cannot disipline the people by punishments.
People in India often dont know what is right and what is wrong. Hence education will be better.
Selfish motive is behind indispline. Selfish motives can be removed during the long run.

I agree with the 3 Es, Engineering, education and enforcement. I think for drivers and pedestrians alike, if there is infastructure then there is understanding and the desire to build roads and highways to further bring the country in the 21st century and with education comes understanding of what the purpose of these roads are. A conduit to prosperity and once in use, enforcement of laws and regulations to maintain that momentum. Good luck with that.

Build Good Roads.
Teach Citizens the Good Way to Drive in Schools.
Establish proper rules.
Monitor the rules.
Fine Tune the rules.
Enforce the rules.
Arrest , Fine and Cancel the D/L of the violater (no exceptions).
Trust me friend, if implemented it will work wonders.

see we have to pass strict act in parliment and state assembly
of every state,and the people who are violating the traffic rules,
must be heavily fined,and improsinment period must be there

Very simple strictly obey the rules and those persons who ignore or obey traffic rules first time warning after that cancel his licence only that way the people will obey all traffic rules thanks
