Texas Hold 'em, which hands starting hands to you think are the most difficult to play. I think pocket 8's or 9's, they look so good but they are very vulnerable.

Well it depends on what you mean by difficult. Bad cards are hard to play, but easy to throw away before you invest any money in them. I think what you might be asking about are hands that look good, but are often difficult to actually take a pot down with. The best answer here is 10x-10x (where x is any suit). This is a high pair, but in a multi-handed game, anyone who sticks around to see the flop with you is almost certain to have some paint (face card(s)) in their hand. Letting go of a high pocket pair when a king falls on the flop and somebody bets large can be one of the most difficult things to do in Texas Hold 'Em, but the good ones learn. Of course much depends on your position at the table as well, but I won't write my poker book here. Let me know if you have any further questions. I've been playing Texas for a LONG time...

A lot of the pros will tell you the answer is pocket jacks. They look so good, so powerful, especially after a run of weak cards. But they are so vulnerable to anyone holding a picture card or an ace.

Pocket 10's. My friend says he never wins with this hand, and I've beaten him using 10-10. It's a tricky hand because it looks strong, but there is still plenty out there that can beat it.
