I've been having problems with Skype. What do you recommend instead?

Skype is really the best right now... you should try to install a different version if u got problems...otherwise there is icuii that is also a very good one in quality but not many people use it and i guess its only free for some days....

after this there is yahoo messanger and also msn that are equal.... but dont reach skype cause they use the standard h323 type for voice .... skype is using its own

If you need PC to PC aternatives would be msn messenger, yahoo messenger, Bt softphone, google talk or a jabber client. With these you need to have someone using the same client.

For PC to phone msn can do this (possiby usa only I don't use it) or BT softphone (can use BBtalk account if you have that) not sure if yahoo offers this.

Microsoft windows live is very similar, have a look www.msn.co.uk/livemessenger, you can make calls and view others web cams and chat via text too xxx
