He took the Grey Hound bus that left out of New York City, and Georgia is a down state. So he was going in the right direction, but since he was in a bind, because he was way behind, he should of taken Am-Trek!

Hell is perceived to be below us because we believe it to be a hot and fiery place, and so it the center of the Earth. We think of Heaven as above us because the whole idea of clouds and such. For all we know, Heaven and Hell could be in another realm, they could be on another planet or anything. And really the song sounds better with Down than it would Up.
