Good result for you.. Yes Roeder should stay! I think when your squad is fully fit ( you have almost a whole team out injured at the minute) next year I can't see a reason why you couldn't finish in the top six. Your've definately got some of the most loyal supporters around, From a Gooner.

First I'm not a Newcastle fan, just to make that clear!
Second....I'm a Man Utd fan, so thanks for beating Liverpool! ;)
Regarding are Newcastle getting better, it's one result people, I was at Craven Cottage last weekend (I'm stuyding in London) when Fulham beat Newcastle 2-1 and Newcastle were dreadful, so before you can say Newcastle are getting better you need run of results. Sorry guys!
However you have a strong team, which has been blighted by an truely impressive injury list this season and I see no reason why with Glen Roader in charge you will not be able to turn it around and improve greatly....Martins upfront scored a first class goal last week, albeit it in injury time, and his capture was a good bit of business. Owen, when fit again (if ever) will still be a quality player. Milner is a good young English winger who I admire, and all across the team there are good players.
Most importantly, before you even think about 'should Roader stay' think about 'Who would replace him'......If you can answer that, in a satisfatory way then the answer to your question is Roader should go, if you can't then Roader should stay.
Me personally, I believe he should stay, firstly no matter who you had in charge this season no-one could have coped with the amount of injuries you have had this season any better than he has. Secondly I can think of no other manager that could come in and do a better job at this time. :)

Im a kop fan.
Its about time you got better.3 points are valuble for anyone who can get a win against the top 4.
I think the team has potential,a few more signings and it could look very good for newcastle.
And besides newcastle have had a bad run of results against liverpool over the years.
So you had to win sooner or later, but can you improve on that.
Im not so sure.

Newcastle. just as The Viila are one of those teams that will never get thrashed by the top 4 clubs - however, when it comes to playing smaller teams that we ( Villa & your lot ) do not put it to the sword. That is what makes the top four just that ....... to good & consistent against other teams & too much to risk against one another !!!!!!!!
I agree NUFC are starting to improve & I have a strong feeling that the team, despite an injury blighted season are starting to gel together... my reckoning is that you will finish just outside the UEFA qualifying spot ... but ... wait for it I fancy your chance to win that very trophy this season.. ending a long & trying period without a trophy.
Good luck for the remainder of the season.

I think Newcastle is getting better. Nice to see Onyewu join. Plus I like Paul Huntington who joined last year.

Yes, you're getting better. I think Liverpool played the better game, but what matters is you won the game. I think Onyewu is going to be really good for your club. I'm excited to see him get better by playing in the prem.

How Newcastle managed to win that is a mystery..... Liverpool were so dominant, particularly in the first half, there only looked to be one winner.
I wouldn’t look at this as a turning point the result was a fluke.
