Marijuana doesn't "reveal" schitzophrenia, but people often do act paranoid when using drugs. Schitzophrenia can however be brought on by too much drug use, so if he had a genetic disposition to it, he should probably be careful.

Paranoia is a common effect from smoking pot.
The effects will wear off in a few hours.
If you don't know the source it is possible that it was laced with another more dangerous substance.
Suggest your friend get some substance abuse help if things continue to be a negative experience for you or him. It sounds like there are deeper issues other than the pot. It is a good idea for him to stay away from the stuff but you may not be the right person to handle this.
Suggest you contact Al anon, they are the version of AA for people who aren't users. They can help you deal with the challenges of having people in your life who abuse substances.
I have used pot. It isn't that bad. But it could possibly make his alleged mental conditions more exagerrated.

It makes sense to me that marijuana just like sugar, caffeine and for some people wheat can create a chemical imbalance.
As for marijuana being some type of magical "revealer" of the future. Uh, I doubt it and to believe that would be dangerous. It seems to me that you are just getting to know your friend a little better and as for his being prone to mental illness.. well it might be a current chemical imbalance that is drawing him to self medicate.

Um, no "Drama" is erroneous. Marijuana does not have an unfavorable result ensuing in schitzophrenia. certain, it can make you act slightly paranoid, yet no complication-free tie in. although, she is ideal about schitz being genetic. yet you are able to spend something else of your existence stressful about what is going to be or you are able to stay all of your days and in basic terms see what takes position. i does not situation about it. inspite of in case you men get married and stay thankfully ever after AND he develops schitzophrenia, there are a kind of treatment innovations for him. in basic terms be happy now and experience him for who he's.

It can make people paranoid, it has nothing to do with their mental state, though. Its just an effect of the drug. I'm a laid back person, but one time in high school my friend and I went to her cousin's house and got high. They kept staring at me and I kept hearing them mention my name. I started to beleive that they had laced the weed with something and were trying to kill me! I started scanning the room looking for a way to escape unnoticed. Yeah it sounds silly, but at the time I was scared out of my mind! Later on I found out they were looking at me and talking about me because they were considering hiring me to babysit their two kids! That was my last experience with weed.

Marijuana is an illegal drug...Period. Some will advocate it's "medicinal value" for treating many different illnesses. (glaucoma, depression, hyper-activity)..When, In all reality..It has no true medicinal value other than pain deterence and making you feel silly for short periods of time. It interrupts normal thinking, causes paranoia, even after effects are gone, and makes you un-motivated. One argument I can stand by is the native American Peace Pipe Ritual....But the only problem with that is..While peace is being spiritually sought through chemical dependance....Non-peaceful tribes would sneak up outta no-where and kill the unsuspecting ones. Be a support factor to your friend, and be compassionate..maybe he uses to thwart feelings of being stabbed in the back...SCARY

No, that is a side affect. Paranoia. Actually it will slow him down brain wise. Schizophrenia is not associated to that drug. Actually, you hear voices that aren't there telling things to do that are bad. I had a relative who called it the radio people. Teens with this usually have violence in their mind...not really paranoia. It comes across as paranoia, because we don't hear what they are hearing.

It was probably laced with something. Plus all those people who come up with conspiracy theories are usually stoners. So being parinoid is a side affect.
