I would have to say Hossa.
Not too often do get to see a player on your team that combines graceful skating, strong work ethics and pinpoint passing and a deadly accurate shot. He is one of the few players in the league who is worth the price of admission alone.
A lot of fans here in Ottawa are still pretty ticked off that he was traded off for Heatley. They don't dislike Heatley either. It's just that players like Hossa are a rare find.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonen.
His 1st 4 starts, he gets 4 wins. There's always good players, but good goaltenders are hard to come by and Lehtonen is already forging his place into the league. He's also only 23 so he's got even more years ahead of him. When was the last time the Thrashers had a good goaltender? They will have their best point season in franchise history this year at the rate their going and its only because they have solidified their goalie position.
Hossa is a great player with great hands to control the puck. Kovalchuk is a sniper with one of the most wicked one timers in the league. But Lehtonen is the backstopper that has been most contributing in their 60 plus points this year.

I think the best player from the thrashers is marian hossa
i got 2 watch him when he played for ottawa (because i live there) and he was one of the best players on the team then
not only is he the top scorer on atl, but he is a great allround player
For second id put ilya kolvalchuk and third would be slava kozlov

This season, and overall play wise, as in goals, assists, and points, Marian Hossa. But for the more entertaining, more popular, more liked, and a lot more popular part, that'd be Ilya Kovalchuk.. but don't count out Kari Lehtonen the goalie, he is also very good.

Marian Hossa. Although I think Kovalchuk is a great player I think Hossa is the more complete player of the two. Kovalchuk is a great goal scorer but Hossa has more elements to his game than Kovalchuk.

Hossa or Kovalchuk. Take your pick, as both are great scorers.
The numbers seem to give Hossa an edge, so that's who I'm saying for now.

I would have to say it's Kovalchuk /Hossa. Both are playing extremely well and could be deadly in the playoffs.
