I urge you to at least take a look at his website and use some of the info there to make a intelligent choice --I am a republican and I am going to vote for him !! I would love to learn more about him, but, I don't think I will get it from the mainstream media. So far, if I listened to them, he's not black enough for the black vote, he smokes and he went to an Islamic school. All of that has about as much relevence as his preference in suits or eating establishments to the question of whether or not he'd make a good leader.

Thanks for the encouraging words about Mr. Obama. I will look up the speech and more info about him.

I agree i think that everyone should at least educate themselves on Barack before they dimply dismiss him. from everything i have read he seems to cover issues that deal with just about every group in the country and touched on what his main goals would be if he were elected. The thing that struck me the most about his speech today is how little he used his notes, what a change that would be in itself, a president that can speak clearly and coherently.

His speech was great. I knew when he spoke at the Democrat convention that he was going to be a bright star for the Democrats in the future. I was right. I am tired of all the comments regarding his middle name, or his religion. Can we get on with making this the country it should be!!!!

barak is a-ok in my book. he is family oriented and helps the underdog. regardless of your political beliefs, i think all Americans will agree that this country needs a change. he is a breath of fresh air.
