heres the key: makeup is used to enhance features so anything other than that is considered theatircal. if you are a newbie then maybe you should try some lip and cheek tint. natural is always glamorous. people in magazines who like like they're not made up took an hour to prep their faces.(just a little trivia)
heres some basic steps:
1. moisturize preferably with spf
2. conceal trouble areas like under eyes, zits etc
3. dust loose pwder to set in concealer (if you are using cream blush don't powder your cheeks yet) all over your face
3. put blush on (try those in the coral to pink shades for powder and burgundy and maroon for cheek tint or gel) the apples of your cheeks. you can also try bronzer.
4. put eyeliner on the top lid extending outward for an illusion of thicker lashes.(this works best for night time-it can look harsh during the day)
5. curl your lashes
6. put mascara by zig zaging the wand on your upper lashes that way it applies evenly.
7. apply lipgloss (clear or pinkish)
good luck, maybe you should purchase some of these at a department store so that they can show you how to do it.

Make sure you blend, because even though you're a teen you don't want it to look like you don't know what you're doing. 1. put on eye shadow - maybe something with a little green/purple to bring out the brown in your eyes, but apply it lightly 2. apply liner on the lids of your eyes 3. curl your lashes, press gently 4. apply mascara (max factor has some really good ones) 5 put on lip gloss. Remember to practice putting on make-up first before you decide to spend a lot of money it, because if you don't know how to put it on, you can make mac look like crayons. Good luck - also, visit make-up websites for different styles of putting it on.

Remember this;; makeup is supposed to enhance features rather than cover them up.
Also;; Never have more than one main focus point. u wanna have only onee. if ur have both a bold eye && lip, u end up lookin lyk a clown. Opt for one or the other.
Since you have brown eyes, use contrasting colors in your eyeshadows and eyeliners. Brown eyes look best in pinks, purples, and light beiges. for mascara, personally i would steer clear of it. but if you really want to use it try it in brown. it will make ur eyes look lighter && brighter && it looks more natural.
Good luck!!!

Well when I first started out putting on makeup I used to look at other people's makeup really closely and then go try it on myself. At first I got frustrated but I kept trying over and over and eventually you just get the hang of it. Also you could always go to a store such as Macy's where they have makeup counters and ask for some tips and they would probably show you a thing or two.

try using natural colors first. it makes experimenting mess-ups less obv.
blush, go for a bright shade but apply LIGHTLY to apples of cheeks. use fluffy brushes - not the little ones they give you - for natural look.
eyeliner, try pencil first. and line OUTSIDE of eyes - inside is for professionals/ppl who've done this for a long time!
eyeshadow, try using light pastel-esque colors to start.
lipgloss, it's hard to go wrong...
mascara, again, go natural. maybelline's alwaysa good starting point... just don't stab yourself in the eye!
try picking up a good makeup magazine... try allure.
