I think that he is the one person who doesn't have a hidden agenda. He seems incorruptible to me. I just hope that people will quit being racist and look beyond his skin color. We have a white president right now, and he has done a piss poor job with this country. We need someone in office with fresh ideas and actually has morals(unlike the IDIOT in office now).
And.....Hilary is hiding something. I don't know what....but there is something she doesn't want America to know. She is very shady.

Ok. But what will he do for America besides be a stand-up guy? What will he do to fight terror? What will he do to bring a positive solution in Iraq? What will he do about illegal immigration and problems at the border? Will he try to socialize healthcare? The problem I have here, is most people have NO idea what he will do...where he stands. They just like him because he is handsome and charismatic. He is a junior senator. He's been there for 24 months. We don't know where he stands, except that he tows the democratic party line (some 92% of the time according to his voting record). I'm not comfortable with electing someone about whom we just don't have enough information.

I agree. Sadly I say, he will not raise the $500 million needed. The race for President is a long way off, I could be wrong. Hillary will raise the $500 million needed. Sadly, it's about money and power not the person. GW Bush proves my point. In 2000 Nader only got 114,482 votes in Ohio. Gore got 2,294,167 and lost Ohio. BTW, Polls show Blacks supporting Hillary. Whites are supporting Obama in big numbers. There will always be a small number of stupid people who will think it's about race when it's not.

Would I trust Obama before some other candidates? Sure, I would. Do I believe he has the staying power to outshine a Clinton? Not in this election cycle. Maybe in 2016 he will be ready for the Oval Office.

I think he would be like a breath of fresh air after the Bush administration, however I do worry about such a young man and his decision making capability's, his experience is also kind of non existent. However I do like him and where he came from, he has been quite honest and forth coming. I will see how he stands up to the repuglican hate machine, I am afraid they will attack him like they do Hillary. If he becomes a real threat.

Obama is a intellectual lightweight compared to others in the democratic field. If he were white he would not even be considered a presidential contender.

Of course he will bring honor back to this country but there are too many war supporters so that good man Obama will not be able to make it.
