No offence ladies! I am just wondering.
How do you all feel about someone being a prostitute? Do you feel it is extremely menial? Do you feel a prostitute is someone you do not want to relate to? Why is it so?
Will you accept a prostitute as a sister in law or daughter in law? Will you accept it if one of your family members becomes a prostitue? Why or why not?
Will you be willing to take up prostitution as a profession, even temporary? To make a fast buck?

I see nothing wrong with it, what is the difference between a woman standing on the street corner, or a woman sleeping with her boss to get ahead, or for that matter a woman using her sexuality to get whatever it is she wants. Women do it all the time.

Prostitution, the oldest profession!!
Studies have shown, that where there is prostitution rape statistics are extremely low!!
Would I accept a prostitute as a family member? Yes! My Grandmother, became a prostitute during the depression! She had opened a dress shop right outside NYC, once the depression hit businesses like hers were the first to go!! She had to support her mother and her son, my father!! I AM PROUD TO BE RELATED TO A WOMAN THAT WOULD SELL HERSELF TO SUPPORT HER FAMILY!!
One of the previous posts commented how prostitution spreads std's!! Most prostitutes, protect themselves, they have to it is their career!! Just cause they offer themselves for sex, does not mean they are dirty or disease ridden!!
They also said there are other options out there!! I have to disagree, unless you walked a mile in that individual's shoes don't judge, you have no idea what life handed them, what they have to face!
Prostitution is not a career for me, but it is for some, and who am I to insult someone's choice of providing for themselves and their families?
On HBO they have a regular show, the Cathouse!! It is about a Brothel in Nevada, it is an awesome show!!
YES, if I had the need to make money for my kids I would most definetly prostitute myself!!
I have a question, why is it the WOMEN are the ones that have to hear about how awful it is to be a prostitute? How come these critics don't say anything about the men that utilize the prostitutes? Ever notice the harshest critics of prostitution are women?

Family is Family! I have had prostitutes in my family chain! My aunts. I feel that prostitution is sick and its wrong. I am worried for the people that do this becasue of STD's. I don't like the idea that they do it. However it is an occupation! It's just like film makers, stripers, dancers, and nude models! They all sell there body! However You said sister in-law so I am guessing your brother is considering marring her! All people do things that they shouldn't have or things that they regret, maybe this is her place to change! I'm sure that she has personality why don't you base how you feel about her on who she is not what she is!

personally, i wouldnt ever prostitute my body to make $. but just bc someone does it, it doesnt mean they are a bad person. if they are doing it they are probably desperate. they may feel its the only way they can survive. and most likely they are addicts. i have a good friend who used to be a stripper and some times had sex with clients for $. she was caught up with the wrong ppl and was addicted to drugs. she has since straightened her life out and is now an exellent mother and she is also in college. if someone i was close to was prostituting, i would try to help them, tho most ppl will only accept help if they are ready to change.

Women who are prostitutes have no value in life. They don't care and will sell their body/souls for money. I personally would not hang out with one because that person would have issues, low self esteem and other factors that they would need to work on and I am no one's psychiatrist. My way of looking at life is much different than theirs, therefore, we would not have anything in common. However, if they are a prostitute because they are homeless and feel they have no other alternative, I would help them because there are always other alternatives. For the most part, I would never put myself in that type of situation because it's really degrading, one can get HIV or other types of diseases.

Hmm i haven't known any, i'm not sure i could accept them, i see them as dirty, with all the std's and **** floatin round now a days but they are still people, their choice of profession just makes it hard to respect them.

Thats gross! i would never ever ever in a millon years be a prostitude and the ppl who do it r really messed up in the head i mean really messed up! if one of my family memmbers did i would be mad but my family are christans and they wouldn`t sell themselfs for that crap! I would find some other way to make money! i will scrub the mc`donalds floors if i have to no way would i ever come close to being a prostitude,Sorry kinnda fliped my lid but my answer to you is" No Way" i would never be a prostitude.
