There is much absurdity in life, without a doubt, and we've this concept of 'sin' to allocate all the instances where our personal psychologies fail to do the 'right' action; our sinful experience is also an absurd one: we cannot help but be irrational-- to do what is 'wrong' by even the most intuitive measures of social value. A child knows right from wrong. As adults with any level of authority, we often seek to justify any internal inconsistencies we have -- to rectify what is objectively wrong, to be a misconception-- to change the very world we live in to change ourselves. But this is not wholly possible, and so 'sin' is abundant.
When the Christain God demands through Jesus' words that we believe in something we cannot -- an unintelligible God -- we must accept through absurdity what will be the solution to our condition. That is, only through more absurdity, more sin, are we to become consistent, modern authorities.
But just as the real world is a tricky place to inhabit, so too God is a trickster, and it is questionable whether a jealous, wrathful and yet compassionate God could give us indisputable maxims to live by -- that aren't also themselves a test.

I suppose it is possible but I don't do it. It is enough that I was born, raised and ordained in the Christian faith. I left for good reason and I don't represent myself as anything I am not.
I am an Atheist.

Well yes it has been done, however I would say that if we need or feel pressured to lie about our beliefs (whatever those beliefs are) then there is a problem. Either with the beliefs themselves e.g. racism or with society.
