Maybe because he's leaving that up to the GM and Head Coach?

Because the Colts were a much superior team than the Bears. It's not Grossman's fault that the defense couldn't keep Manning and the Colts offense off of the field. The Colts ran 84 plays on the Bears D. The Bears ran 48.

The Colts did the same thing to the Ravens and the Patriots. Together with the Bears that's the top three defenses in the league, and the Colts beat them down. Is that Rex's fault? I don't think so.

Listen up! Rex is under contract. He has made some terrible mistakes, but he's also young. He's still developing. He will be a better player next year. Besides He contributed to the Bears getting to the Super Bowl.

I do not care what people say I think Grossman will be better next season. He might even play at an all star level. The kid has made so many mistakes that he cannot get any worse, the only way for him to go is up. I think he will be more patient and avoid forcing a pass deep into coverage. He is still going to play and he needs time to improve. I dont see him sitting on the bench.

First of all, player-personnel is generally a GM's decision in the NFL. Owners usually stay out those things. Second, he's under contract and firing him will have salary cap implications. Third, do you have someone ready to replace him who's better and Fourth, he still got the team to the Super Bowl.

If they can find a better quarterback, he may lose his starting job, but you're probably stuck with him for a little while.

This is great. Okay, first off you can't FIRE a QB, the GM has to cut him. 2nd of all, this was metaphorically speaking his 1st season in the NFL. Rookies make mistakes, right? Why can't Rex? Another reason is that he stepped up his play in the playoffs and led da Bears to the Super Bowl. Why should the GM cut him?

Players don't get fired...they are contracted, and someone would have to buy his contract...besides, the kid is pretty good...roethlisberger got smoked in the afc championship game the year before he got it together and helped win a superbowl...there is a growing curve for all players that cannot be achieved by selling them into a different system without giving them 3 yrs to understand the offense

Players generally do not get fired. They either get traded to another team, or they go to free agency. Or simply retire.
Another thing that may happen is they get another QB & put Grossman on the bench holding a clipboard

The last time I checked, QBs don't grow on trees. There are about 3 teams that are truly set at QB in the NFL. The rest hope that their guy will step up.

More importantly, the owner of the Bears is not the GM
