Because parents and schools aren't disciplining them like they should.
And I don't just mean by punishing. Parents aren't teaching their children who to make the right choices in life.

It's not just the youth of today...it's people in general. This decade's crop of kids is no picnic, but look back at teens of the past. What makes them any better? A lot of people say, kids today are like this because of the parents inabilities. Well if that is true, then lets take a look at who the parents are? That's right, a former decade of kids.
One large problem in our society today is that people are clumped into these groups according to their age, race, gender, etc. For every kid out there doing something incredibly wrong, there is one doing something amazingly right. And for every person passing judgement, there is another person who is trying to change things for the better.
I think the real question here is, what kind of person are you going to be?

firstly they are very intelligent and can get work done quickly. young blood may loose some self control because of its very spirit. But the society on the whole is to blame and not just the youth. Youth see more money these days than say 10 years ago, their parents are also more prosperous and are probable a bit more lenient and can afford them a lot more. good parental guidance, good role models, teachers, a bit of religion and education should improve their control over the senses and behaviour.

(1) This is the characteristic feature of this age. In India, we
call it Kali Yuga. In the esoteric texts, it is called the age of
darkness. Self-control in youngsters will be much less than
that in the elders.
(2) The word 'flourit' means the age of dawing of wisdom.
It also means the age of 40 years. (See some multi-volume
dictionary in a library, not the one in your house). This is the
age after which a person becomes an elder.
(3) In India, we have a saying: "Grand- father was once
a grand-son". Your elders must have commented,
when you were a youth, that you lacked good self-control.

Do you mean the lack of self-control that is harmful when someone hurts another person or themself by speech or action. Don't we all lack it in one way or another as no one is perfect. One of the hardest things to do is to have self-control. Self - gratification seems to be the norm today and lack of self-control takes little effort. It depends where and what their priorities are.

Society today allows so much to go on. If it feels good, do it they say. They are even taking away spanking. Parents are too into being the childs friend and not the parent. If you look at other cultures...NONE of this goes on.

because parents today indulge them and they dont have to work for anything....Most youth lack, self control and respect. they want what they want NOW and aren't willing to wait for it! I know cuz I have 4 kids and my two oldest are that way...luckily I learned better with my older two and now I make my younger two work hard and WAIT!

Parents let their kids do what they want. They want to be kids too instead of parents.
