The Constitution of the United States of America established three (3) branches of government.
The Presidency is the Executive branch, the Supreme Court is the Judicial branch and Congress is the legislative branch of the United States government.
There are two (2) entities which compose Congress. The term for the two entities is bi-cameral.
The House of Representatives is composed of 435 members which are apportioned to the various States according to their populations.
The Senate is composed of 100 members which are apportioned to the various states equally.
Together, these 535 members of Congress legislate the laws of the land and carry out other functions assigned to them by the Constitution such as declaring war, ratifying treaties and impeaching individuals of the government.

The people we put in congress come from your area and their job is to bring the people`s will to Washington or represent the people. But sometimes along the way a large corporation will interfere with government and change the people`s will. The corporations don`t know any better because they are not human and have no feelings.
