I have the new apple mac book intel core duo, purchased it under 1 year ago. I have the apple car protection plan for 3 years extended warranty. My computer keeps on shutting down by itself so i have called apple several times and they keep on temporareley fixing it for about a week. I took it to one of their apple authorized resellers to look at it and again they fix for only 1-2 weeks. I have taken it to there authorzed resellers for repairs 8 times but they have only done 1 actual repair on it which didn't work in the first place. The other 7 times, they run their tests on it and shrug their shoulders and say theres nothing wrong with it
b/c they cannot reproduce the problem. Now, whenever I call apple and ask for a new computer they want more repairs to be done it but I ask them I have brought it there several times for repair and they do not know what is wrong with it so they have only done one repair therefore apple is refusing to give me a new computer. What should I do?

What are you doing when it is shutting down? Do you have it on your knees, or carpet or on a blanket? Does it feel hot when it shuts off? Do you get any kind of error message?
