how to hook two base computers to broadband router?

I have one computer hooked up and working, now I can't get the second one to work...there are two open spots on the back so I hooked the two phone lines from second computer, but it still doesn't work ...what am I doing wrong? It is a Linksys wireless-G 2.4 router

Make sure the second computer has a network card and not just a modem. (You said phone line which is different from network line.)

If the two "open spots" are on the same card, more than likely it's a modem card and not a network card.

Go to your device manager and see if it shows any network cards. If not, you'll need to get one for this to work.
