Where can I get a file of words and definitions?

Question

I am just looking for an excel, csv or text file with a word and what it means.

Example:
apple -- a fruit that grows on an apple tree
car -- a vehicle used for transportation

It sounds like you want to be able to do this online, and not have to go and find a dictionary. No problemo.
~ You can get a button put on your toolbar which will take you immediately to the word you want just by typing it in.
Google has its own, so does Yahoo, and you can even get the Encyclopedia Britannica with one click!
If you don't know how to get said button, there's always this site to ask on......

Just editing this as I experimented after I posted the answer above, and...

GUESS WHAT! I just typed in "definition of REASON" (seemed like a good word to look up) into one of my search engines. There were ~are you ready~ 63,300,000 places to go to which not only gave a definition, but also put it into context, etc.
No, I didn't go to all of them. I didn't even have to go anywhere, the basic meaning was in the title of all the places I could have gone.
Maybe sometime when there's nothing else to do..............
The marvels of modern science etc etc!

that's superb to assert that being gay isn't a decision yet acting on that's. individually, i think of that's incredibly unfair to grant gay a confusing time. permit's be common, that's not basic to return out so why would everyone do it via decision. i'm specific many gay human beings battled interior themselves for a protracted time earlier they admited it. Bisexuality is a various count IMHO, that's a perversion to go with the two sexes. that's like bondage and so on. that's somebody attractive themselves and having all of it techniques. no longer remotely comparable to homosexuality.
