i have been struggling off and on for the last year with many areas in my life, including jobs and friends and the types of relationships i want.
these feelings keep coming back to me, that i am meant to move forward, make some changes, but how do you know you are following your instincts.
i often think "maybe i am not grateful for what i have" and then i settle back into my rut. months go by and again this all crops up. any advice on how to determine what choices to make? i find it all kind of confusing and scary.
thanks

There is no sure way of know what direction to take in this life.We all struggle to find our way.The most important thing is to be at peace with YOU.If you can find peace and confidence in yourself you will already be ahead of the game.I don't know your age so it is hard to direct you.But most of my life I have felt I was on the wrong track. No matter what I was doing or were I was I felt like I should be somewhere else or with someone else.so since I couldn't cope I went to doctor he put me on antidepressants for awhile that helped but I finally at age 45 came to the conclusion that I could not be all things to all people so I quit my 55K a year job took a year off then got back in the game.I may sound selfish but in order to survive you have to make yourself number one.Take care of you first. Then everything will fall in place I'm 53 know and I feel great!!!!!

I don't think you can ever really KNOW which direction to take in life. There isn't someone who can look into the future and tell you the consequences of your choices (but wouldn't it be great if there was? :). I ask myself these questions all the time, "Am I on the right path? How do I know?" I am not a risk taker, but I can tell you that you won't get far in life if you don't take a few risks. You just have to be reasonable about it. I can't tell you what is reasonable, however. You gotta let your inner promptings guide you, I guess. And listen to sound advice. If everybody is telling you NOT to take this certain job, there is probably a reason. Don't follow your heart, because your heart will lead you astray. Listen to your mind, and make the choices that in your head seem the wisest. And always remember, that whatever choices you make; whatever path you take, that you chose that path. Don't look back on your life with regrets. Even if you take a wrong turn, you can still make it come out all right in the end. Good Luck! :-)

It all depends on your age. What changes are you trying to make? If they are going to help you in the long run, GO FOR IT!!!!! It's most difficult to get OUT of a rut.............been there, done that, and it's easy to give advice. BUT what really matters most is: What is going to make YOU the happiest??? If perhaps you provide a few more details w/out revealing too much someone could better assist you. Good luck.

Follow your heart and you'll never go wrong. You may make mistakes but that will only help you grow as a person.

Well if you pray and ask the lord to help you he will point out the right direction for you.
