Wars, crimes, racism, poverty, materialism etc...you name it and we got it. Are the 'natural' disasters and diseases that happened such as tsunami, hurricanes, bird flu etc indications that our world is indeed hopeless? I always wonder.

Peace is a goal that humanity will never reach. It is just like perfection. Our world is not perfect and never can be.

Humanity has many bad qualities that prevent it from ever reaching peace. However humanity nor the world should destroyed and rebuilt due to it will only end up back where we are today.

Think of the past it all started with cavemen we could say they lived relatively in peace but as humanity continued to grow people fought for land, food and you name it.

This world is never hopeless for even through all that humanity continues to move forward and survive. While it can never be perfect the only thing humanity does have on its side is hope for the future.

I believe that the world is where it is because humans are as they are. In our short span of time that we have (parasitically) colonised the planet we have only seen a few natural occurrence's that we (humans) classify as disasters.

Are tsunami's, earthquakes, 'global warming' really the result of our abusive stay on the planet or are they cyclical phenomenon that we have never experienced in our short stay.

Should we blow it all up? No. We may be parasitic in our occupation but that is what we are. Don't destroy the good just to negate the bad.

I would never say the world should be destroyed, but certainly that's the direction we're heading. Natural disasters are products of pollution that we have caused. We created global warming. We must save the planet to save ourselves...
