Well it depends I think. With a floor length dress I think the shoes would need to match exactly if you were to wear red. When a red dress is shorter, if the reds aren't a perfect match it is much less noticeable. I would prefer to wear either a sexy strappy black heel and paint my toenails a red to match, or if you are going to wear silver or diamond/rhinestone jewelry you could pull off a strappy silver heel. I always match my shoes to the accessories for a formal occasion. This is my opinion, and I Hope you have a great time wearing your dress!

More red may be a little too much.
As Carrie suggested, what about a silver or gold shoe to coordinate with your jewelry? A light beige or ivory will look nice too. A shiny black, heeled pump or strappy slingback is always stylish.

No way red shoes!
Believe me, u will rock in golden shoes, especially if u put on some golden jewelery and a small pocket bag. That's how Hollywood divas get dressed for red carpet ;)

Red maybe difficult to match the right shade. I tried recently. Black or silver sound good. Try a sandal or mule rather than a full shoe, maybe with sparkly diamantes which you could match with jewellery.

NO dont go with Red that would be too much. Try black or gold. Gold would be my top choice. You might be able to get away with silver but the red and gold go best or the red and black of course.

No, you'd want to match your shoes to your handbag .
Black is always classy, with a black small beaded bag or silk evening bag. They need not be expensive. Understated is really a classier look, even adding a black pashmina shawl if you're concerned about chilly rooms.
Black is without a doubt your best choice.

black should be okay or depending on the accent color of the dress u can match that, u will overdo it with red shoes, plus if its floor length, even a gold open toe will do

depends on what youre going to wear it to..
If its like a valentines day dance or something id say get a white shoe, but if youre going to be wearing it out at night somewhere fancy id opt for a black shoe.

Black works everytime.
White if you can pull off a very nice looking pair of heels. not overwhelming and thick.
Transparent if the context allows.

black is robust yet could be a splash too plenty assessment with the gown. Taupe could be outstanding. surprisingly taupe satin. it is going to mixture with your skintone ( assuming you're lighter skinned ) and that they gained't compete with the gown.
