I wiped my pc the other week and had problems with audio and sounds, ive managed to fix some but I can't hear sound from the you tube website, I also had problems viewing it but i managed to get that working, i can hear system sounds, cd's from media player, videos from other sites apart from you tube...HELP!!

Perhaps you should watch videos that aren't just about mime artists and Charlie Chaplin.

The same thing happened to me. For some reason I could see the videos but couldn't hear any sound.
I know this will sound incredibly stupid but I finally noticed my volume button turned all the way off (left). I simply pushed it to the right and the sound finally came on...:o)

I had this problem too! Was so frustrating. I tried everything. In this end, the only thing that worked was to re-install windows.
As a last resort this would definitely be worth doing.

Maybe you have the volume on mute or on low on the youtube site.

try re installing windows if needed
