You can buy Transcend MP3 Player T Sonic 610 or Creative Zen with the space of 1 GB you can also use it as an pen drive and FM Radio and also as an voice recorder. The Transcend will cost around Rs.2,200 to Rs.2,500. The Creative will cost around Rs.3,500 to Rs.4,000

You don't have to worry at all for your mobile. You can go for the Sony Ericsson W200i which is around the price you are willing to spend upon. It is a very good mobile in that price range and the sound quality of the speakers and the headphones are pretty impressive. The handset also offers you up to 2GB expandable memory, video and mp3 player, video recorder, a digital (VGA) camera, FM radio and lots more like internet surfer, etc. etc. which can entertain you for hours and hours together. If u want some thing which is branded then you can go for IPod shuffle.. U'll get 1GB(which is more than enough) mp3 player within 4k..But it does not have a display.
Best Players I recomond are Transcend T630 (price of 4.5k for 2GB) and Creative Zoom video/mp3 player[5k for 512 mb]

id suggest an i pod. its the best in terms of music sound and quality.
but im not aware of the price on the indian market. if its too much, why dont u try getting one on ebay.in
even a second hand ipod is a better bet than a new no name mp3 player

You can get Apple IPod Shuffle 2 gb for Rs. 2500 - 3000, give a search. There are other brands listed too. Else try Transcend, ear phones' quality is good. I got one there :).

Buy an ipod, it has better quality than other mp3's out there like the creative zen 30GB mp3 player and the zune.
