If this all happened 20 years earlier, Madeline Kahn would be PERFECT!
Today....hmm.......Tea Leoni is good at playing crashing, hysterical, but smart women (think of her role in "Spanglish"), so I'd have to go with her though Heche would also be good.
I'd dare say someone at one of the major networks is probably already finishing the draft script for a made-for-TV movie as we speak. They LOVE this horrid stuff!
