Just a curious coincidence. My husband recently met a woman at his new job that was born two days after him at the same small air force base in North Dakota which is a thousand miles from where we now live. They were probably lying in little bassinets next to each other 30-plus years ago. It's fun to run across people that you share something in common with, but it's not miraculous.

The odds are not that astronomical, but to attribute it to fate is using CAVE MAN logic. There may be something to people living in the same area with common ideas, views, beliefs, etc. There's discussion about the effects of cosmic rays emmited from terrestial objects (ie, sun, moon, planets, etc.) which may cause mutations of your chromosomes at the time of birth or inception, (which would explain some of the astrology characteristics or personality traits of people) but there's no verifiable evidence to date. In any case, there is a probability that someone living nearby is on yahoo, has the same interests as you and whose birthday is close to yours.

Fate is the supernatural conclusion that our barbarian ancestors used to explain the unknown. In the modern era, our statistitians can calculate the probabilities and they're not all that low.

Another way to look at your situation is what's the probability that someone is on yahoo who lives near you...a pretty high probability in todays' world. And of those people what's the probability that someone has a birthday near yours, another relatively high probability. And then what's the probability that the both of you find each other, most likely a low probability, unless you figure people in the same geographic area have common interests. Anyway, I'd say the probability is better than 50%, but that's just a guess. To get an actual "P", i'd need the population of the city or town that you live in.

I believe in fate. I think things happen for a reason. People come into our lives to teach us something. Sometimes they become a lasting part of our lives. Others don't have as much of an impact. Some people you just know as soon as you meet them that you were meant to meet.

I felt that way when I met my boyfriend. He's a fellow singer-songwriter & a Taurus like me.

I'd say the odds are pretty slim of meeting someone born that close to your birthday & within 10 miles of your home town considering that people here could be anywhere in the world! Life is funny that way. Strange things happen. You could call them random coincidences or you could accept that life has a design & sometimes things just fall into place...

Good luck!
:)

There are thousands of people on yahoo answers, most of whom live in the U.S. and Europe. I think it is quite safe to say it is a coincidence.

Depends on how often you log on ...... if you log on every day I would say the odds are good that you'll finally meet someone that is close to you or you share certain things with ....

I believe coincidence and fate are intertwined.

its coincidence and very possible. now if you had the same name, same birthday, etc... now that might seem a little weird.
