That's a difficult question to answer. It all depends on what someones opinion of a great album is. Some of the best music doesn't even get played on the radio. It's easier to say which albums are overrated because those are the artists that are flashed in your face everytime you turn on the TV or radio.

But personally I think John Legend is overrated.

Overrated:
The Wall - Pink Floyd. I really don't care if you think it's the most amazing album ever. It's beyond overrated.

Underrated:
While The City Sleeps, We Rule The Streets - Cobra Starship. Yeah, those 'Snakes On A Plane' guys. Their CD is ten times beyond amazing.

Overated - There's lots of um, what immediatly springs to mind is 'Music' by Madonna, her worst album yet.
Underated has to be 'Hooray for the boobies' BloodhoundGang. It should have receieved far more recognition - hell of a good album.

The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks. Culturally, incredibly important and significant but musically, a load of pants.

The most underrated album is Alphabetical, by Phoenix. Everyone I know who hears it really likes it.

Over rated...anything by Kylie. I once heard her singing a duet with Kermit. Just about her vocal equal....on second thoughts, that was unfair on Kermit.

Most overrated - anything by the Beatles.
Most underrated - in contemporary terms, it would probably be Elvis, or the Jazz musicians that he stole his ideas from.
