2 weeks is not that long something small and not to expensive but enough to let him know your thinking of him would be fine in my opinion. Not knowing him real well it's kinda hard but a CD and a card is almost always a safe bet. Everybody likes music.

Well... Im not exactly sure bc im in the same boat as you! I have been wondering if i should get him nething... if he is getting me something... IDK!!! but what i was thinking about doing (it depends on how ure guy is...) but i was thinking about either creating a crossword puzzle on all the thing i love him for. I hope that helped!!!
