This question reminds me of two of my nephews when they were very young, one was short and simple, he felt that something inside him, like a little devil would tell him to do it....so since he was a child I told him that whenever he had that feeling, to say to the little devil to shoo and leave him alone. The other nephew didn't know what made him do bad things, it was like he couldn't control himself, he dind't want to do it but he also felt that if anyone else got into trouble that it was his fault, unfortunately until today he has problems staying away from trouble, he really doesn't look for it, he just seems to have a cloud over his head wherever he goes....I believe that he doesn't feel he deserves to be happy and just lives day by day without seeing the big picture....he is handsome, intelligent but he feels like no one loves him, so I believe like him, many people feel that they don't deserve to be happy because they have had a rough life and don't trust anyone or themselves to strive to achieve the happy life that they deserve....if by chance you are my nephew, find the love for yourself and know that you are loved and you do not need to do bad things, life will always be hard on you that way, be positive and forget the past and your future will be so bright you will need sun glasses all the time. Please think before you act and you will be alright....from someone who was there at one time in her life. I love you. I hope this helps you.....

The payoff for doing the bad thing is greater than the pay off for not doing it. People like feeling good, even if it means breaking societies standards for what's normal and 'good'.

People will always do anything they want as long as the consequence of the action doesn't exceed the reward of the action
