i recently reconnected with a guy i use to go to school with at first he was calling me often and now its been about 2 months and he only calls like 3 or 4 times a month.i find it very insulting we discussed it and he says he cares about our friendship but i dont see it what bothers me more is hes always asking to hang out with me but i dont feel he deservs to when he cant even make a better effort to call me more.should i just end the friendship or avoid him whenever he does care enough to call?

Some people prefer not to talk so much on the phone and spend more time in person with those they like. So ask them if that is the case.
If not, then if you wish to end the friendship, do so.
It sounds like he rather have your company than your ear.

Sometimes there are other things going on in people's lives-not everyone has lots of spare time to socialise and chat on the phone. He may have a job, he may have family or personal problems, or there may be times when he just prefers to be alone. He may also waiting for YOU to call-being so one-sided about the relationship may be sending him the signal that you aren't interested. You have arms-nothing is stopping you from picking up that phone. Make the effort.

you should be happy that he's calling you, most guys don't like to talk on the phone, have you tried calling him? maybe hes not calling you as much because you don't feel "he deserves" to hang out with you? sounds to me like you accept the facts of life, he just might have other things going on in his life too
