List whatever ideals, policies they've backed or decisions they've made in office that you disagree with. Be specific and try to back your claims with evidence. Don't just say something bland like "they lie." I'd like to possibly see what issues really bother people and why there is such a division between Rep. and Dem. supporters.

When it comes right down to it, I don't like the Republicans because of their arrogance for being in power too long.

I don't like the Democrats because of their obvious lack of strength in defense and willingness to give in to the enemy.

Because party affiliations and personal ideologies can be muddled and overlap, I'll go with the terms "conservative" and "liberal."

Conservative policies tend to be results oriented. They are intended to do the right things for the right reasons, and require a realistic assessment, even when the uneducated, illogical, or uninvolved are incapable or unwilling to see the rationale.

Liberal policies tend to be "feel good" in nature, appeasing the ignorant masses, and thus, buying votes.

The Iraq war is a perfect example. People have been duped by the media into believing that the war was entered into illegally. They have forgotten that the original executive order directing the overthrow of Saddam came from Bill Clinton. Clinton just didn't have the huevos to carry it out. This war was extremely popular until Saddam was forced into hiding, then it got a little closer to election time, and the "wrong" party was in power in the White House and congress, so the media has since been manipulating public opinion.

I am independant and I find good on boths sides. I think the division on both sides comes from people following what their party says and not following what they themselves think.

They BOTH tend to tow and/or spew a party line, instead of thinking for themselves.
