The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (4hr 10 min).
The longest film ever though was "The Cure for Insomnia" (87 hours) just some guy reading a poem with x-rated material spliced in, but I wouldn't consider that a movie.

The Kenneth Branagh version of Hamlet, if not the longest, sure is looong. It's just over 4 hours long with no intermission.

"Sleep" by Andy Worhol 8 long boring hours.
When the guy finally turns over after 3 hours the audience members that were still awake cheered! At the end they gave me a button that said, "I sat through Sleep!"
