Sorry buddy but you are away off. DC has been making comic book movies just as often as Marvel but you just dont know it.
Heres the thing, while marvel enjoys using superheroes exclusively from their main line. DC realizes that they can make movies out of the different imprints that they have and thats what they do. They dont want to feed exclusively to the regular comic book crowd and they are looking for a wider audience.
For instance, DC is the company that first printed Sin City AND V for Vendetta. Didnt know they were comic books, did you? See, DC realizes that they have other things besides your regular Superheroes and they decided to monopolize on that fact. The new movie, 300, is also a DC comic book product but they dont advertise it as a comic book movie because it only feeds a small demographic of the entire movie going population. By making it a regular everyday movie, more people are willing to watch it.
And Marvel is just greedy because they signed that 500 million dollar deal/loan from Viacom for their own producing studios. With 1/2 a billion dollars, you can make every movie you want. Marvel has such a long list of movies coming out, they range from retarded to obscere superheroes. I mean, think about it, they are going to have a Luke Cage movie and a Namor the submariner movie?
But DC movies have been more successful, box office and critical reviews than Marvel. While Spiderman 2 and Xmen are juggernauts in this, there is a huge steep drop off from thsoe movies and the Daredevil and Elektra movies while DC has maintained a pretty good medium with constant good movies other than Catwoman.

Personally, i'd choose to peer more DC characters on the giant display. Sure, there can have been extra wonder movies, however that is only when you consider that Warner Bros. Does not look to wish to make films of any of the opposite DC charaters, past Superman and Batman (Warner owns DC, for these of you that have no idea already). As a minimum the last two DC films had been lovely excellent. The Spider-Man movies are the exceptional marvel. X3 used to be a letdown, after the X2 being ok, with X1 being good. Daredevil and Elektra have been horrible. The Hulk used to be natural, at pleasant. The FF was respectable, instead of surgeon Doom being entirely nothing like he is in the comics (within the film, nothing more than a Lex Luthor wannabe). The Blade movies have been ok, but no longer best. Ghost Rider? Come on! There are such a large amount of different characters that should be achieved from surprise. I don't feel they'll be all that high-quality, but they should be executed (like Thor and Iron Man).

Well, DC/Warner has been getting into more projects utilizing it's character stable. There has been talk about the Flash and Green Lantern. There is the Wonder Woman developments as well. Smallville has been expanding into other characters of the DC universe with Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash. Animated versions of Krypto, Legion of Superheroes and Teen Titans. Don't forget The Batman. Hasn't been long since Justice League Unlimited. Some Vertigo films have been out as well. Don't forget how much of DC is on DVD. Much of the Superman product/Batman movies & serials and the Flash are out on DVD. No Birds of Prey yet, unless you got one of the bootlegs.
Yeah, it would be cool to see a cgi Metal Men. That would work really well.

individually, i'd choose to be sure greater DC characters on the super video demonstrate. confident, there would have been greater marvel video clips, yet it fairly is basically via fact Warner Bros. would not seem to have the desire to make video clips of any of the different DC charaters, previous Superman and Batman (Warner owns DC, for those of you that don't comprehend already). a minimum of the final 2 DC video clips have been surprisingly solid. The Spider-guy video clips are the main suitable marvel. X3 replace right into a letdown, after the X2 being ok, with X1 being solid. Daredevil and Elektra have been undesirable. The Hulk replace into usually happening, at maximum suitable. The FF replace into respectable, different than wellbeing practitioner Doom being completely no longer something like he's interior the comics (interior the action picture, no longer something greater advantageous than a Lex Luthor wannabe). The Blade video clips have been ok, yet no longer super. Ghost Rider? Come on! there are such fairly some different characters that need to be carried out from marvel. i do no longer think of they are going to be all that super, yet they might desire to be carried out (like Thor and Iron guy).

Joss Whedon was supposed to be working on a Wonder Woman movie, but I haven't heard anything for a while. A Lobo movie would be cool, but I can't imagine who would play the lead. An animated Justice League movie would be great if they took the animation over the top and gave it the R rating that it should have. Maybe even add some sex and foul language.

DC and Marvel are from two very different schools of thought...
DC is the grand-daddy of comic book companies and has the 'old school' view of doing business. Safe bets and careful planning before they make their move on a project. Having a gigantic corporation like TIME/Warner behind you allows them to be more conservitive in their releases, only banking on the proven money makers of the past (i.e. - Batman & Superman)
Marvel has always been the younger 'upstart' to DC's grand-dad. Even back in the 60's Marvel tried new ideas and different business practices. Today, with people like Joe Quesada (editor-in-chief) at the helm, Marvel is sticking their fingers in all different types of pots. With movies, direct-to-video animation, their many different licensed uses of their characters and logos; Marvel is a bit more able to take risks and chances to see if they pan out...
If Marvel & DC were boxers; DC would be a solid older boxer who holds back his punches until he can deliver a knock-out blow all at once & Marvel is a younger brash boxer who peppers his opponent with hits, chipping away at their resolve. The fight could go either way, both boxers are skilled in their own way and style, neither better than the other.

I would have to agree with the answers thus far - but I've also noticed that there have been quite a few movies coming out with characters from DC's stable, aside from Bats and Supes. I've heard of Wonder Woman being in a movie and GL too, but hey, you never know what DC has under wraps.
It would be AWESOME - bastich - to see a Lobo movie! He's the MAIN man!
And as for the guy who said that Ghost Rider sucked - curious. How'd you see it BEFORE it even came out in theatres, hmmm?

DC's has always been cautious in releasing movies based on their characters. Ever since the debacle that was the Shumacer Batman movies, they've learned that quality beats quantity.
Marvel's stuff has been hit or miss. They have the great (Spider-Man 1&2, X-Men 1&2) the mildly OK (X-Men 3, Fantastic Four)...and then they have the bad (Hulk, Ghost Rider)
I don't know which method I prefer, because it's nice to see my favorite characters on the big screen, but I also like seeing said characters in quality films

I would LOVE to see a live action Lobo movie.
The cartoon version was watered down for the kiddies.
The print version of Lobo was great and I was sorry to see it pulled from regular circulation.
