The sun is at the approximate center (technically at one of the elliptical foci of the planets' orbits).
Eight planets -- mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune. Some of the planets have one or more natural satellites -- moons.
Between the inner and outer planets (between Mars and Jupiter)) lies an asteroid belt, potentially a bunch of debris that could never form a discrete planet because of Jupiter's gravity.
In area of Pluto's orbit (now considered a "planetesimal") is the Kuiper belt, a large swath of mostly small icy bodies and comets.
Farther still, and reaching quite a ways into inter-stellar space, is the Oort cloud, a diffuse region of scattered matter and comets. Some objects from the asteroid belt, Kuiper belt, or Oort cloud are occasionally bumped from their orbits for whatever reason, and they orbit the sun in the same region as the planets. These are the objects that could potentially strike Earth someday.

Our Solar System is composed of:
The Sun
The Terrestrial (or Inner Planets): Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars;
The asteroid belt;
The Outer Planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
The planetoids: Pluto, Sedna and others;
The Oort cloud;
Assorted comets and asteroids with highly elliptical orbits.
Also, various satellites of planets, like the Moon.

well our solar system starts with the sun then comes Mercury then Venus then our earth then mars. then we have a asteroid belt and then, its Jupiter the giant and then Saturn with its wonderful rings, then its Uranus and Neptune and Pluto
mars is known as red planet and Jupiter as the giant and Saturn as the ringed planet and Uranus is the Topsy turfy one as its rings are longitudinal and then is Neptune the storm planet and then Pluto the smallest.
DID U KNOW: that Pluto's moon is half of its size and even its shadow falls on the planet.
and also our solar system consists of many stars and other dust
i hope this helped

The sun is at the center, and then we have the eight planets (Pluto is no longer a planet, from what I've heard). Betweeen Mars and Jupiter is the "asteroid belt". But other than that, just space!
