The Magneto movie has been announced. It's a pre-quel with him and Charles growing up.

The Wolverine movie in pre-preduction and it's another pre-quel with Sabretooth (before he became Sabretooth) and the Weapon X program.

There's currently no plans for X4 but you can bet that Marvel will be making movies until they stop making money. So whether it's X-men 4, Gambit, New Mutants or whatever, you'll get to see lots more Muties on the silver screen true believer.

As for the end of X3 - yes Magneto was slowly getting his powers back. He was one of the most powerful mutants so either the "cure" isn't permanent or he was just too strong for it. So Mystique may not be "cured" either. And Xavier used his mutant powers to "take over" the body of the guy who was "brain dead" that they showed earlier in the movie. Moira McTaggert is the doctor attending to "Charles". So either they are leaving it open for X4 or other spin-off sequels or they just wanted a little prize for X-geeks to talk about.

What would X-Men be like without Professor Xavier and Jean? It just wouldn't be the same.

I don't recall him moving it in the end, just him looking at it...I know theres a Wolverine movie coming out, but I haven't heard anything yet about a new X-Men movie. I'm sure they'll have one sooner or later, even if its direct to video.

Rumor I heard was that no more X-Men, but they're spinning off both Wolverine and Magneto into their own films.

My husband was wondering the same thing. He said at the end of the credits of X3 there was something that made it look like there was going to be a 4th one. He's sure hoping there is!!
