Yes kids now a days have no values, they are not taught manners, they do not respect anyone. Parents do not have time for their kids. I know if I had done things kids do now and the way they talk to their parents OMG I would not have been able to sit down! lol Other parents would rather buy them everything instead of giving them their time! I know both parents usually have to work but you have to have time for your kids. I am a single parent and it has not been easy but it can be done!!!

There is nothing wrong with kids "nowadays." It's perfectly normal for kids to be "stupid" and not make good decisions. It's part of the developmental process. In psychology, it is normal for kids and adolescents to defy and question authority. Trends and research support this, and it's been like this for years. If it wasn't, then it would not be considered normal. Live life with a happy heart. You are frustrated because no one is "like you." That's part of development too - individualism in adolescents. You may think you are so different, but there are many other kids and teens that think just like you. And it's perfectly normal. And an extra note, teen pregnancy rates were actually higher in the 1950's and 1960's than it was today. Keep calm and carry on, right?

I am still young, but I totally agree with you! My parents don't spoil me, I still get in a lot of trouble if I am mean or rude, I am not allowed to play video games and I'm barley ever allowed watch TV, and I love to play outside! And you know what? Some people might think I'm miserable with my life, but, to tell the truth, I'm still happy, and I don't want my life any other way. I think how people treat their kids nowadays is horrible, and I hope getting raised like that is not the future for every kid that's born now.

I completely agree with you. Parents are too afraid to spank their children. The school system now tells children that if they are hit at home then it could be abuse so the kids need to report it to them. When I found that out I marched right up to my daughters school and told them that if my daughter was misbehaving I had every right as a parent to discipline my child in the way I see fit.
My friend's friend was in Walmart one day and she caught her son stealing. So she gave him a spanking right there in Walmart. Well when one of the cashiers saw this they told management and then management called the police on her. They ARRESTED her for child abuse right there in Walmart. I mean come on!! If that had been my child I would have spanked her into next week. What is our world coming to?

Toady's kids are raised as puzzies....end of story. they don't go out, they have psycho government agencies coming to your house if you so much RAISE a hand at a kid. Kids today have thier parents wrapped around by the pinky
Let me tell ya something...MY folks spanked me....and sometimes worse! If you knew what I did....you'd have done the same. There's never been a day I didn't thank God I had the parents I did. They kept me straight. I never gave a crap about what the cops, the school.....whoever would do to me....until I got home.....

You're right. I see kids, especially really little ones, getting away with all sorts of crap. They run around the house, or store, or friend's house, screaming, hitting, swearing, and the adults think it's "cute".
And they are handed everything under the sun to play with, only to tire of it after a few hours. Christmas at their house must be absolutely dreadful.
I shudder to think of the generation that THIS generation is going to produce.

I have two kids and I feel like my hands are tied by society on the Discipline Issue. My mom use to beat my @ss & I grew up to be a responsible, self-disciplined person. And I am very close to my mom.

I agree with you. Society actually teaches our children that if we Touch them they can call 911 and get us arrested. I handed my son the phone. He considered putting soap in his mouth for swearing child abuse. lol He threatened to run away, I packed his bags. He slept at home. He is still here, love my son, not the BS.
What is wrong lazy parents.

i agree if they disagree with spanking's than they need to find another way to discipline their children cause this whole time out thing just ain't working in other words they need to stop trying to be their friends and be their parents.
