It is too bad that Peter Sellers is gone; he would have been a great George W. Think of his performance as "Chauncey Gardner" in "Being There" . Brilliant! I could see Sellers reading "My Pet Goat" on September 11th, just as W did. It would be labeled a comedy, but in reality it is a tragedy to our country, and to the world.

I'll use this question to stand on my soapbox for a minute, even though I doubt anybody will listen with an open mind.

I read that somebody here blames Bush for killing troops and sending them to Iraq. One must ask why we went to Iraq in the first place. Apparently, there was bad intelligence reporting which stated that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, and based on what transpired in Iraq in the early 80's through the mid 90's, this wasn't a difficult idea to believe. People believe that there were, in fact, no wmd's in Iraq at all and the whole objective in being there is a farce. Well, if you actually do some research and reading, you will discover that some wmd's actually WERE found in Iraq, but that is really beside the point now...

We are at war. The war is against terrorism. Where is the country of "Terrorisia"? There is none. Where do a bulk of the terrorists willing to take down America live? Possibly Afghanistan (we have forces there), Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Egypt. Rather than going out and trying to justify turning all these countries into parking lots, wouldn't it make sense to make an example of one and attempt to help develop some semblance of democracy as we enjoy it as to let them see our way of life? That seems our objective, but personally, I'd opt for the parking lot option...

Bear in mind too that we have a military of the willing - nobody is forcing people to join up to become soldiers. The soldiers we do have defending our way of life do not deserve to die in vain or have their fight ridiculed by people turning our commander in chief into a parody.

So, make your jokes, be a wanna-be hippie from the sixties, squawk and be the answer to the question that nobody asked, believe Hollywood-style news reporting, and base all your political opinions on how you feel rather than what you know.

What would you have done differently in Bush's position based on reports and intelligence given?

The film would be a tragic epic with the noisy minority dictating what happens with the country.

It will probably be a disaster movie. It can't be a comedy, September 11 was nothing to laugh about. Definetly a disaster movie depending on where the producer may stand.

All of the above! As long as there is a really good impersonator and some "Die Hard" action with a little "Inconvenient truth" added, it will be a smash hit at the box office.

All three of the above of course! He himself is the comedian, the war is a tragedy for us ALL and the disaster comes in the form of our dwindling economy and loss of creditability with other countries.
