Go to your town/city hall or the hospital where you were born. They should have records of the birth certificate.

Check to see if birth certs can be ordered via the internet. Most can, either through a state or county site. If it's a state site, look for Dept of Vital Records. If you can't find any site, write a letter with your request to the:
County Clerk, Washington County, PA
You'll probably need two correspondences since there is a small fee involved. Or you could call the county
clerk's office to get the amount of fees. But you will still need to make your request in writing most likely. But this is for your protection and privacy. Hope this helps you. My son had the same problem and Katrina makes it so hard to get his records. He was born in Baton Rouge.

This is the website/link for the Pennsylvania dept of vital records. There are links there telling you how to apply for a birth certificate. You will have to provide them with some information and pay $10. Good luck
