If you're fast, you could conceivably play running back, although you would have to bulk up from 125 in high school...Defenders will be around 200-225...At 5'5, you might be too short to play wide receiver...You might be able to play defensive back if you are truly fast as you say...Speed is important there...

Well I would say you are pretty fast if you are 125 pounds and are 5'5. The problem is is that 5'5 is too short to play most positions. Unless you have good leaping capabilities. In which case you could play WR. But to be completely honest there is an advantage to be small. For example if you are a RB you will be able to fit into holes other people can't. So there is always a possibility of you playing RB.

Even though you are a junior it is not to late to join the team. Coaches are always looking for new players and will be more then happy to take you on the team.

Hope that helps.

you might be a good change-of-pace speed back like cadillac williams of tb or willie parker of pitt if you're strong enough to shed a tackler or two. if you like to come up and make a big hit, consider safety. you may be a little small to play wr, but if you have quick hips you could probably be a corner. it all depends on what kind of offense and defense your school runs. you might make a good option qb if you can throw the ball well and it fits the scheme.

talk to the coach about what he thinks and get in the weight room to get stronger and add some bulk. it's not too late for you to join the team. if you think about it, varsity teams are made up of sophmores, jr.s and sr.s, so you'd be right in the middle.

I would suggest that you first talk to your coach. Tell him what you want to do. I would think that you would be a good running back if you are fast. However you need to put some weight on cause otherwise you will get killed by the much bigger defenders. Hope this helps and good luck in all you do.
