I can tell you an answer for this. Mainly because in the wrestling business the females are there primrarily as a form of eye candy to a mostly male based audience. Fans like myself now prefer the divas to exhibit some form of wrestling ability and are impressed with the ones that do, and the ones that gradually improve. Now in the case of Cena, as he is in the male performer part of the business, he is generally supposed to be seen to represent the in-ring ability first and the looks part follows. In his case, it seems more of the fanbase is more a fan because of the look, which is against the norm. Guys like Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin didn't have to base their popularity on their look (not saying there were great wrestlers, it was just exciting in a different way watching them in the ring) Cena's fans should be that because of what he can do, and that does not seem to even be close to what the truth is. And thus, it becomes a downward cycle. Compared to how Cena used to perform and his matches nowadays let the WWE know they don't even have to use any of his wrestling ability to keep him at the top of product sales and popularity.

in wwe storyline i like to be maria because she is my fav diva and cena 2nd fav. But Maria and Cm Punk are cute couple too.
