In foxpro we can speak of data storage limit in terms of filesize of .dbf file instead of number of records.

if you are using .idx type of indexes then a single a .dbf file can have a filesize of 1 gb max.

If you are using .cdx type of indexes then a single .dbf file can store data upto 2 gb.

foxpro on dos and windows holds upto 10,00,000 records.i.e. the performance will be ok. if u exceed that limit then may be it will slowdown and may crash also. but with visual foxpro it is unlimited and depends only on your system resources i.e. hard disk space, ram size etc
