hit the CAP LOCK button - usually if your caps are locked ON a LIGHT usually is lit somewhere along the upper right corner of your keyboard (and above / over the number keypad section) ...
(and it usually has the name Caps Lock listed if the light is on)
the light goes off when you're in the "lower case" keyboard mode
light on - when you're in the "upper case" keyboard mode
unless of course - the light is burnt out

The "Caps Lock" key. it's located on the far left middle on your keyboard. Additionally, a light come on on your keyboard (If equipped) to show you that the caps lock key is active.

If you want to change the case of text that has already been typed - then select the text and press SHIFT + F3. Save the trouble of changing each letter ;)
