What you have to do is,
if you have installed the software for the printer you will have to remove it from the computer by using the
ADD / REMOVE PROGRAMS then remove the USB printer cable from the computer, once you have done this you can start re-installing the software FIRST and follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the on-screen prompt to tell you when to insert the printer USB cable in to the back of the computers USB port, once you have inserted the cable in, switch the printer on so that the software can configure the USB port to the printer.

Is it online?Is it connected?Is it switched on?Are the drivers in place?Does it make any noises at all?Is there any paper in the tray?
