I know nothing.... What are some things I need to know. I'm looking for something not to expensive but still good quality. How many songs does a 1, 2, or 4 gb player hold?? And how about battery life I know I don't want an ipod cause I don't plan on using itunes. I'd like to be able to just load it with mp3s I've downloaded to my computer already from different sites. I hate to sound like an idiot but I could use some help please. Anything ya'll feel would be helpful in my purchase. I'm hoping to not spend more than 100 dollars. I really don't need video I just want music for when I work out. I'd like alot of storage space though I love music. Anyway thanks in advance for the help!!!

Go to Yahoo Tech site-its on the front page menu of Yahoo-you can compare. Read proff. as well as user reviews and compare prices and what each does- great site! I esp. like the user reviews- they tell you more often- like when I shopped for a digital camera---Good Luck!

There are some really cheap mp3 players out there that work just as well as Ipods. There isn't a set amount of songs that 1, 2 or 4 gb holds. It depends on the size of each induvidual song. But, I will tell you that either of them will hold a fairly large amount! But, look at some on bestbuy.com or even target.com. Maybe you'll find the perfect one.

ok ipod can use song that you download from anywere just like itunes does. itunes is just a program that helps you move songs to the ipod. i pod is not alll bad. how ever if you have bluetooth then you may want a zoon as it have bluethoot in it for easier file transfer. a 1gig can hold about 1.5hours of music. if you like to watch vidios then get one that plays mp4 format. and look at the extra stuff you can get with it. tigerdirect.com hase good deals on mp3 and mp4 players. also if you want to download vidio an mp4 play can play it on your TV. so do look in to what the item(mp3/4) that you want to buy can do and be upgraded with.

Hurrah! You're bucking the iPod trend! This Creative player I've linked to is a wonderful option. You can find it at Best Buy and similar stores in your price range.

Edit: Now that the Zen V plus is out, you may have trouble finding it. The difference is video capability and price. The second link has them in stock, but only in white at this time.

i could finished-heartedly advise a Sandisk Sansa Fuze. I very own one, and that i freaking like it. It has great sound high quality, customisable EQ, a good variety of codec help, FM radio (is available in sensible in specific circumstances :D), helps Drag and Drop, and a tactile interface :D it incredibly is extremely inexpensive too, many of the human beings on boards I bypass to assert it incredibly is between the main suitable bargains you will get :D yet another super bonus (may be the main beautiful) is the Micro SDHC slot. in case you ever want greater area, pop in a Micro SDHC card (up tp 16gb atm, 32gb popping out quickly) and you quickly have greater storage. Sansa Fuze is crammed with win! yet you're able to replace the inventory earphones!
