i have a large quantity of publisher 2000 files unfortunatley a " friend "unistalled it by mistake?

he then could not find my original disc so he installed his , the problem now is i cannot open any of my publisher files prior to this update his version is version 6 the message on the screen says can only open this file in the original version .
any ideas

Do a System Restore back to just before it was uninstalled.

use the restore function on windows.
